Imperial decree
2° Imperial decree authorising the acceptance of Esprit Calvet’s succession
At the Palais des Tuileries, 9 April 1811.
Napoleon, Emperor of France, King of Italy, Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine, Mediator of the Confederation of Switzerland;
On the basis of the report from our Interior Minister to our Council of State;
We have decreed and continue to decree the following:
Article I.
The Muncipality of Avignon, in the Department of Vaucluse, is authorised to accept, in the name of this town, the universal bequest made to it by Esprit-Claude-François Calvet, according to the handwritten will of 10 January 1810, an extract of which will be attached to the present decree, and the responsibilities and conditions which it contains.
Article II.
Our Interior Minister is responsible for the execution of the present decree.
