A rental property
Esprit Calvet had understood that in order to ensure its independence and sustainability, the Foundation should be endowed with an important rental property. This property is currently composed of dozens of urban and rural buildings, the current income of several hundreds of thousands of euro of which enable it to acquire new works each year in order to enrich its collections. This unique situation in France was intended by the founder, Esprit Calvet, nearly 200 years back. It proves to be now particularly ahead of its time.
